Collaborative Partnership with PARClife Foundation 4/12/26, 11:00 PM PARClife Independence Program A Path to Independence at Canton Oaks! We are thrilled to share progress on our collaborative partnership with the PARClife Foundation to offer Compass Members a Medicaid covered 'Comprehensive Independence Training Program.' Specifically designed to empower future Canton Oaks residents, this isn’t just a support program—it’s a launchpad for living life independently, on your own terms. This isn’t a generic "one-size-fits-all" course. At its heart is a Person-Centered Planning (PCP) approach—meaning your specific goals, strengths, and preferences lead the way. We work with you to identify the skills you want to master to live life independently, on your own terms. Tailored to Your Goals: Depending on your individual PCP, your personalized journey could include: Master Your Space: Gain confidence with hands-on training in daily living, from advanced meal planning and kitchen safety to tech-savvy home management. Navigate the World: We’re taking the guesswork out of getting around. You’ll receive personalized coaching on using local transit and navigating the community with ease. Financial Freedom: Take control of your future with workshops on budgeting, smart shopping, and managing your personal finances like a pro. Stay Connected: Beyond the basics, we’re focusing on social engagement and wellness strategies to ensure you feel energized and connected in your new home. The Launch Plan: Pilot Program: To ensure the best experience, we are starting with a small pilot group representing a diverse range of needs. This allows us to fine-tune the support before opening it up to everyone. Timeline: The program is set to kick off later this year. Once PARClife has finalized the staffing and program structure, we will share the full details and next steps. Why it matters: This program is built around you . We’ve developed a step-by-step roadmap that moves at your pace, ensuring that by the time you settle into Canton Oaks, you’ll have the skills and confidence to thrive independently. This is about more than support—it’s about your autonomy. We can’t wait to see you thrive! Back
